As a specialized exhibition foroptics and photonics-related industries, OPIE is the largestexhibition in Japan. Every year in April, at the start of the newfiscal year, engineers and purchasing personnel who are seekingsolutions for research and development and product developmentissues visit the exhibition.

At the same time, manyresearchers visit from the OPIC international conference related tooptics and photonics (in 2024, it consisted of 16 internationalconferences and plenary sessions), and it has established itself asa place for active communication on new applications and technicalissues.
